As part of our economic empowerment mandate as the National Council of and for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD), in line with United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD), the White Paper on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (WPRPD), the National Development Plan (NDP) and other legislative tools, NCPD has gathered crucial details regarding the needs of entrepreneurs with impairments.
The NCPD Economic Development Support (EDS) programme is a development support programme which empowers enterpreneurs with disabilities. In the programme we have a network of entrepreneurs who receive development support from the NCPD and Stakeholders of the programme.
We have more than 60 Entrepreneurs currently registered in our programme based in all 9 provinces, with half of which are in Gauteng.
